This is a co-op project with LCD and TM, which argues about thinking and belief based on Plato's Cave and referenced Plato's Republic, Apology, Debate of Foucault and Chomsky and Justice by Michael Sandel. Creating two exits of the cave in both the real and virtual world demonstrated Plato's theory and pointed out the most difficult for a human being is not to go out of the cave but to divide which side is the cave and which one is outside.

 

The model used a pop-up book method that included the entrance for VR video and combined Foucault's idea on knowledge. Foucault considered the knowledge like a grid, and the new grid will cover the old but will leave some space to let the old knowledge be seen. By observing the latest and the old, the truth can be seen. The mountains represent knowledge, and both inside and outside can be seen through these holes.

 

VR video created the development of cities and humans and led to the evolution of pre-Socratic philosophy to postmodern philosophy. By providing the ideas of some philosophy eras to consider the importance of thinking. Bishop Geroge Berkley considered if we can either see it or counted see it under some other circumstances the thing exists. But we can not see our soul. The only way to evidence the existence is like Descartes said Cogito Ergo Sum, I think, therefore, I am.
